Due to our ongoing effort to be honest with our customers, we have to confess that M & M Moving Company didn't start with CEO Mark McWilliams discovering a love for corrugated boxes at a young age, which then progressed into a desire to make a career out of relocation services.

In reality, Mark McWilliams transitioned to civilian life in the late 1980's by translating his desire to contribute to the community, as well as his natural entrepreneurial spirit, into building a business which was a fad in small businesses at the time.

"A friend of mine once remarked, does everyone have a moving company these days?" Mark recalled.

"Perhaps if I started a business nowadays it would've been a vape shop or something."

Mark McWilliams, CEO

Unlike the sea of moving companies that were founded in that time, M & M Moving Company (formerly Astro Moving Company) found its footing by doing what many companies in every industry fail to do: adapt.

"Truthfully, we could operate at the bare minimum like every other moving company out there and still do alright," said McWilliams, "but that's not how I like to do things. I want to bring the best service and the best experience to people whether it makes a difference to us or not. It makes a difference to them."
